One mini-market and a beach/fishing shop. Several veg-vans visit the marina plus other impromptu stalls pop up in the summer. No cash machine, post office on Mon/Wed/Fri

Bars

3 or 4 bars/pizza places, some with patchy WiFi plus an ice cream bar and a fish shop. Ristorante Anjolina's (Michelin "Bib"). New Pizzeria Stazione Vecchia is 500m from the apartment (over the bridge) - open in summer only

Beach

Sandy beach right by marina plus a much larger beach 5 mins further along. This beach is sandy, sometimes with a line of pebbles in the shallows and much bigger boulders nearer the breakwaters

In summer sun beds and umbrellas can be hired. Apartment has several beach umbrellas plus a folding chair

Main post office (with cash machine), 3 supermarkets, chemist, car hire at the tourist office plus other shops

Bars

Places to Eat

Restaurants - Tre Gufi fancy (fantastic views too), Trattoria Borgo good. The new Cantina Lamand is below the piazza. Out of town going North - Albergo Belvedere - great food, great views

Alternatively, go into the tourist office just off the piazza and get them to book Nello for you. They also do car rental - link - ask for Simonetta on +39 333 609 6451

Nearby towns and beaches

Serious tourist town, lots of shops, boat trips to the blue caves and inaccessible (but probably crowded) beach coves

Ascea

Go North to a large tourist resort. Visit the ruins

Rodio

Inland and along a winding road up into the hills, very quiet

Centola

Up hill from Palinuro with a cobbled main street and artist open studios in August
