History

The apartment was built in 1940 to accommodate railway workers. It's built in a modernist-style and has many original features. The railway it once served is now a road

How we found it

We identified the Cilento coast as a potential coastline for an Italian home in 2018. It was unknown to British visitors, had good beaches and was near Naples

Visiting in February we drove down the coast checking out each seaside village. Pisciotta was the best

We refined the search in late 2018, focussing on the old station area half-way between the sea and the village, and then went viewing all the available properties in that location. The apartment offered loads of space and a definite modernist aesthetic
